A question about fading....

i understand that many on this forum are undertaking a slow fade, over months, years even.. can i ask what is the benefit of that instead of a fast fade?.

as i understand it, the elders only have to deal judicially with people who are still active witnesses, known in the community as witnesses, having contact and influence with witnesses etc.

so surely the sooner you stop attending meetings the better.

On another note about fading. Should you start your fade successfully slowly, it may work just fine for a long time. Suddenly the boundaries change and your former congregation forwards your publishing cards to your new assigned congregation. The elders there will suddenly come hounding you with drop in visits seeing you are now irregular/inactive and not going to meetings.

This is one thing that is unfortunately out of ones' control and the process has of slowly fading starts over again. It happens.

No more printing of WT and Awake in my country.. Shit just got real

a letter was just read in out kh stating that all printing of wt and awake is ceased for the coming year and we will just place tracts on fs, countries which were cared by our branch will be cared by other countries...along with this they read the new fs form and stuff about reporting links of videos wtf..lol.

i can't tell which country perhaps that will give away a lot, any one with a similar information.

Yeah, thanks for the info. If this bit about the printing of the Awake and WT is true, I'm hoping it is , I don't know how they can possibly spin this as the work is speeding up mantra??? That is with their most popular magazines dramatically reduced then discontinued.

Is the Borg winding down printing altogether?

the thread about magazines stopping distribution in india reminded me of a recent conversation.

a local brother said he asked for a copy of the new organisation book for publishers.

the elder told the brother to print it out if he wanted a physical copy.

Winding down printed material??

I think so. Lately, in the last few months or so, all people do now when they go in service is show the householder a tract with a Q.R. code on it directing the householder to a website. All you hear about these days is JW.org and tablets.

Raining before the Flood?

i remember at my teen years when i was studying with a brother that he said to me that there was no rain before the flood.

instead there was this mist that you have.

never before or after this have i heard something like this.

I don't know, but I totally doubt the credibility of a worldwide flood, let alone even raining before a flood. There is one particular asteroid crater in Arizona that is 15,000 plus years old that begs one to wonder how in the HELL would that survive a worldwide flood????

so yesterday in accordance with my boys wish, we put the christmas tree and decorations up.

ridiculously early i know, but it made him happy, and even i found decorating the tree fun.. the rebel..

Oh, yeah I forgot. Like I mentioned fading takes planning, it can be very hard work.

A ''quick fade'' may be possible if you have no real family in the Borg. A ''quick fade'' may be possible too for a newly reinstated person who had been DF'd for a bit.

With immediate family in the Borg, well, I'm afraid it takes longer. Can be a lot longer in a lot of cases. It depends too also on how ''involved'' your immediate family is in the Borg. If your immediately family includes someone like your dad being an elder, it will take a lot longer to ''fade'', unfortunately. It all takes time, patience and hard work(mental planning)
